Priority will be given to proposals that incorporate at least two of the three goals of Locally Delicious and meet some or all of the following criteria over the short or longer term:
Education: Educates children and adults about how to improve personal health, community health, and the health of the planet through the food choices we make.
Equity: Helps provide healthy local organic food to all in the community, not just the wealthy.
Environment: Mitigates agriculture’s impact on climate change and helps built a sustainable local food system.
Collaboration and partnerships with like-minded organizations.
Up to $500 per application, with some exceptions; up to eight requests will be funded each year.
We have two grant cycles per year:
Spring Deadline: February 1
Fall Deadline: November 1
Applicants will be notified of our decision within one month of the deadline dates above.
COMPLETION OF PROJECT:
Grantees are required to submit a brief written report and pictures to Locally Delicious with the outcome and lessons learned.
